Daniel was very blessed to be brought up in a Christian family. He began attending Mottville Bible Church (MBC) in White Pigeon, Michigan, in the fall of 1983. Daniel came to know the Lord at the age of five. He graduated from White Pigeon High School and then continued his schooling at Glenn Oaks Community College where he graduated with an Associates of Applied Science in Business along with a Computer Certificate. He was baptized at MBC (where he is currently a member) and that is when the Lord really got a hold of him. He became very involved at the church and also participated in short term mission trips to New York City and Suriname. Desiring to be in full-time ministry and feeling God’s call specifically to be telling others about Him, he decided to continue his education at Appalachian Bible College (ABC) in Bradley, West Virginia. Daniel and Karen were married in 2005. During their time at ABC, they were involved at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Fayetteville, West Virginia. In 2007, Daniel graduated from ABC with his Bachelor’s Degree in Bible/Theology in the missions program.

Karen was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Japan with her missionary family when she was two years old. Her parents were faithful in teaching her Bible stories and memory verses and she trusted Christ as her Savior at a young age. When Karen was twelve years old, her family moved back to the United States and began attending Twin Valley Bible Chapel (where she is currently a member) in Narvon, Pennsylvania. She was baptized at the Chapel and was a student at Twin Valley Bible Academy. Through the Academy and Chapel, she was involved in ministry and grew spiritually. She was able to participate in mission trips to Rumney Bible Camp in New Hampshire and a tribe in Papua New Guinea. After graduating from the Academy, she went to Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, New York, where she earned her One-Year Bible Certificate. Then, she transferred to ABC and graduated in 2005 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Bible/Theology in the elementary education program. For years, Karen felt the call of God to be a missionary. During her junior year at ABC, this was confirmed through God’s people and God’s Word.
Malachi and Luke are a blessing to our family. They are growing so quickly and they brighten our days with smiles and laughter. It will be exciting to see how the Lord uses them.

We look forward to serving the Lord in Japan and would love to have you join us in this endeavor. Jesus said in Matthew chapter nine, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” We are eager to serve the Lord in the harvest fields of Japan, sharing about the Risen Son with those in the Land of the Rising Sun. Please consider how God would have you be involved in this ministry.
